After season 6, I might give it another shot, but I'm not holding my breath...

But Tony's coming back from the dead!

Season 6 had its moments, good and bad, but it wasn't enough to turn me off from the show entirely. I've watched it since that first episode in 2001, and I've been hooked ever since.
Reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.

I am dying here, people. I cannot watch it tomorrow because I have to work. Even if i didn't have to work, I still couldn't watch it, since I don't have cable yet, and I live too far from Houston for an antenna to pick up any channels. Someone help me, please! I am begging. There has to be a way for me to watch this episode. Find it for me online. Or make me a DVD recording. I am willing to pay dearly for a recording.

Help out a fellow SportsJournalists.commer. PLEASE!

Reviews have not been good.

That doesn't surprise me. The show has been going downhill steadily for a while. I still enjoy it, but it's losing its fastball.

"Redemption" = two hours of watching Kiefer Sutherland picking up trash on the highway as part of his community service.

Here's what Redemption has to do:

1, Don't suck.
2. Leave the viewer with a compelling "holy ****!" cliffhanger to drag people into January.

My prediction -- Tony shows up at the end, kills someone, and tells Jack to go **** himself.

It was OK but what it wasn't was 24 and that's alright with me. I like that they're trying some different things here and I really wish they'd go deep with the Jack on trial angle but I fear it's going to be more of the "Jack is back from China" angle that lasted all of three minutes.

Oh, and I'm about 95% sure that this president is going to be the worst since the guy that took over for David Palmer and that's saying something because Wayne was terrible.

The 2-hour special? Meh.

The upcoming season? I'm in.

I was pleasantly surprised. Further proof that it's a bad idea to be Jack's friend.

Has anyone in the history of the show befriended Jack and lived to tell about it? I can think of just Chloe and Wayne Palmer and the latter got F-ed up last year whereas I'd be surprised if the former lasts through the end of Day 7

It was OK...took a while to warm up. The ending was predictable yet worthwhile, where Jack has to do the noble thing in order to get the kids freed. And he looked happy in the last image, which is something you rarely get to see.

Best part? the teaser for next season when Jack grabs tony by the throat and says "I'll kill you and I'll make sure you stay dead!"

And the elimination of dopey drug guy was original even by 24 standards.

Are they going to charge those two hours against the next season?

Trying to stay away from this thread, at least until I get home and watch it.

If it's good, I may go to Best Buy and pick up a copy on DVD.
