Reid was smart enough to trade up for Patrick Mahomes. After that any NFL head coaching gig gets a lot more attractive.

To use another example doe if you compared the coaching records of Ron Riveria and Dan Quinn I think you reach the conclusion they have similar abilities. The difference in Washington is Jalen Daniels.

McCarthy worked for a notoriously meddling owner who doubles as GM and never declines the opportunity to opine on the state of affairs. Every single week. Tomlin works for management/ownership that stays out of the way. That right there will create a different perception.

It's pretty clear Jerry Jones loves the attention his coaching search is bringing him and is in no rush. It's also pretty clear by the time he makes his choice that person will be looking shopping for a coaching staff culled from other fired staffs who haven't been deemed good enough by Vrabel, Johnson and whomever else is finalized in the next few days. The coaching staff is really the first real evaluation of whether a new HC has the contacts and leaguewide reputation to get coaches he hasn't worked with before to sign on. When I see a coach just bring along underlings from his previous stop, it usually doesn't end well.

Aaron Glenn to the Jets? I'm guessing he's getting paid, or the Saints are more screwed up than we thought.
