I wouldn’t count Ryan Day out of a damn thing, BTW. He can see how it’s gonna be in Columbus, or at least he should. This year was a wash. Not a failure, but a wash. Don’t make the playoff? Failure. 9-4 season because you’re between QBs? Hot seat. Lose to Michigan once? Hey, pal, we ain’t paying you to be John ****in Cooper. The sweater cheated his ass off and Urban Meyer’s brain almost exploded.

That Giants job might be some good eatin. And I’d watch Detroit. Pencil isn’t the answer and they know that right now.

The era of the playoff is going to get somebody with a great four-year record whacked at some point.

Martha Ford has already given Quinn-Patricia her blessing for another season
I’m betting it will be busy
Darius Slay and Marvin Jones are entering the final year of their contracts
Slay is not a believer in the Patriot Way and Lions would rather spend $$$ on Golladay
Expect Slay and Jones to get traded for picks

Not as a HC. Jesus. One of the worst ever.

I think the Browns have been really hurt by a lack of continuity -- the Haslams are on their sixth coach in the seven years they've owned the team -- but lord, yes, this was a no brainer. Kitchens would be badly out of his depth as a coordinator.

Urban works for Fox Sports. Assume they’re still on Pico Blvd so he would be in LA.
I'd also think that he could shoot higher than the Chargers, who kind of have a bad market right now and seemingly have a bunch of questions going forward. Rivers is 38, so you'd need a guarantee from management that your contract will go past his retirement and on to the next guy. (Then again, most of the open or rumored-to-be open jobs have at least one major negative, whether it is a question mark at QB or highly questionable ownership.)

I can't believe I'm giving the Redskins credit on anything, but I like the Rivera move. A lot.

In fairness, almost everyone loved the Shanahan move — and the hiring of Bruce Allen when he first came aboard. The McNabb trade and the fiasco at the end of that season should’ve been a lot more of a red flag. It was about more than a washed-up quarterback.

I can't remember how I felt about Shanahan when it first happened, to be honest. Removing Allen is the bigger deal here, for sure.

I keep getting the feeling that there will be one major surprise take place.
Kingsbury, maybe?
