Worst umpire call ever?

The real fail here is not keeping the recording going to get the reaction from the coach and the fans. That had to have been gold.

However, the "videographer" appears to be about 15 years old:

You can't reverse a judgment call, can you? I mean, unless you have reason to believe the umpire didn't have a clear view of the play because he was out of position (which he wasn't).

I meant reversed as in "the other umps meeting, discussing it and overturning the call."

Again, I don't think you can do that if the ump was in the proper position and just blew the call. I could be wrong, though.

I've seen it several times. Hell, I did it when I was an ump. Thought I blew a call, motioned other ump over, he confirmed I had and then we flipped the call from safe to out.

Again, I don't think you can do that if the ump was in the proper position and just blew the call. I could be wrong, though.

Like Inky said, an umpire can ask for help from the other umpire on the field regardless of the situation. Coaches usually will come out and have a brief argument about the call and then ask for him/her to get help. I've seen a couple of calls overturned that way. It usually takes 30 seconds. Some umps won't if the coach is pissing them off but even then they will give the token what did you see just to end it.
