With every career "move" Miley Cyrus makes, Billy Ray gets creepier and creepier. That Vanity Fair thing was eight levels of skeevy.

Now I see he's hosting some horrible American Idol knockoff on NBC called "Nashville Idol," which is more evidence he's exploiting the hell out of his kid to regain some semblance of the fame he enjoyed during the Achy Breaky summer of '92.

So who's worse? The guy who ogles his daughter's mammoth breasts or the guy who portrays himself as the protective, been-there-done-that father who is nonetheless using his daughter to make himself viable again?

I'm sitting here thinking, "How does the broadcaster play into this one??"

This early-morning concert series in NY? We go later this summer and - the Cyrus kid is on. We miss Sheryl Crow by a week.
Daddy still got that mullet?

He's got the wishy-washy mullet going on.

My hair is SORTA long in the front and on the sides, so it's not a mullet! Yet it's all even, proving that I'm moderately all-business and moderately all-partying!

What a skeev.

"I need those Vanity Fair leftovers, stat! Or something we can claim are the leftovers. You know the number, send 'em to the ol' cell banana."

i think the cyruses went into this knowing the shelf life of a child star doesn't last all that long. i think all parties involved are in it to make every damn penny they can and live the rest of their lives unable to spend all that coin.

i think both cyruses dissapear in seven years, never to be heard from again ... which is the way (i think) the family planned it.

but maybe i'm giving them too much credit for being incred. smart.

Gotta give you credit, Tomas, for once. You nailed this for what it was months ago.

you're still tits on a bull useless, but hey you got one right. :)

That Nashville Idol thing isn't new, just a new name. They had Nashville Star on USA Network the last few years, although Cyrus didn't host that one.

It's the same concept, for the most part. Although it is shorter (no audition shows) and there is a original song night, where the singers sing their own songs.

Joe Simpson.

However, my vote for all-time creepy goes to Joe Jackson. No wonder Michael is so ****ed up in the head.

After achy breaky heart cyrus may get some fame back but he will never ever get his dignity back.

Well, there's dignity, and there's not having to work in a factory or on a farm or, ahem, for a newspaper somewhere for the rest of your life. For entertainers, dignity really isn't a large part of the equation, if at all.

Joe Simpson ... because he openly talked about how Jessica ought to flaunt her D cups.

Double D's
“Jessica never tries to be sexy. … She just is sexy. If you put her in a T-shirt or you put her in a bustier, she’s sexy in both. She’s got double D’s! You can’t cover those suckers up!"
At least Joe hasn't launched into a discussion of Jessica and Ashlee's shaving habits. Yet. :o :o
