Obviously, being a member of this great message board, I'm a huge sports fan. I love watching, reading and listening to it. Seeing that this is a board dedicated to Sports Journalists, I wanted to throw this question out to everyone: What sports writer (or writers) do you go out of your way to read? Also, what are your favorite sports sections? I know a lot of the answers will be based on what region you're from, and that's fine. I'm just interested in your opinions.
Also, if there's already a thread devoted to this topic, I do apologize.

I do believe I'd enjoy reading about her and Parcells hobnobbing it with Huizenga.

Sadly, I always went out of my way to read Mitch Albom for many years, prior to the The Great Big Lie column.
Now? It's Joe Posnanski, Sam Smith, and Gary Smith ... among others.

I love Sam Smith's NBA notes columns. I know a lot of it are silly trade conjectures, but he does it with a certain amount of verve and self-deprecation that I like. And when you read him, you feel like you understand what's going on in the league today. And he's really prolific, too.

Not a great stylist or anything, but conversational and engaging. You can tell he loves the sport.

Joe Posnanski, Rick Telander, David Haugh, Wright Thompson, Chris Jones and Charlie Pierce.

Olney, Mariotti (masochist), Peter King, Eric Wilbur (irritating but I read it), Bob Ryan (God bless him).

Simmons and Caple.

And during football season: Forde, Schlabach and anyone else who writes about college football.
