"Police have charged three people in a reported robbery, sexual assault and kidnapping of University of North Carolina football players early Sunday at a Chapel Hill apartment, Chapel Hill police say.
All three complainants were bound with tape and assaulted, a police department release said."

More details from wral.com, which should probably spell check its story:</a>

Prosecutors said the victims met the suspects – Monique Jenice Taylor, Tnikia Monta Washington and Michael Troy Lewis – at a downtown bar and that they all went back to the victims' apartment to hang out.

Whitney said that at a certain point, Lewis was standing naked in a hallway with a knife and later put it to one of the victims' necks.

Taylor then pulled off the victim's pants, pushed him down on a bed, attempted to tie his hands with his belt and started to fondle him against his consent.

"The more that he wrestled, Mr. Lewis put his knife further, or closer, to the victim's neck," Morgan said. "He repeatedly said no, and as he continued to resist, Ms. Taylor and the codefendant, Ms. Washington, began to beat him in the face."

Initially, the victim welcomed the sexual advances, but once Taylor started fondling him, he said no, Whitney said. Defense attorneies said the incident in question was consensual.

Police arrested Taylor and Washington at the scene. Lewis fled after a confrontation with officers, Chapel Hill police said. He surrendered on Wednesday.

Why aren't they reporting the names of the players?

Because they're the (alleged) victims of sexual assault, I'm guessing.

Here's a video report that includes the prosecutor describing the alleged actions (NSFW).</a>

The exact same quotes that are in the story you posted above, FYI.

I figured that. It's why I wondered why you would post it as something new, or as NSFW without tagging the original as such. No problem, was just wondering.

That's really messed up, gang. Chapel Hill has kind of a radical view of things, but that's certainly a turning of the tables.

Glad to see the board mature enough to avoid the Mike Nifong punchline.

I'm just wondering -- based on the photos of those two alleged sexual assaulters and the crimes they are accused of committing -- would they qualify as legitimate "nappy headed Ho's"?

Just asking...... ;D

OK, here's a link to ESPN's story on the assault ... w/mug shots of all three suspects. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=3165401

One word: Ewwwwwwww.

Verdict is in for the first one to face trial: Guilty

http://www.newsobserver.com/news/crime_safety/story/1300776.html

A jury early Tuesday evening found Michael Troy Lewis, 33, guilty of first degree-kidnapping, conspiring with two women to commit larceny and kidnapping, common law robbery, misdemeanor assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.

The 10-woman, two-man panel found Lewis not guilty of one charge of assault on a law enforcement officer.

The verdicts ended a three-day trial in which two North Carolina Tar Heel football players and one former player described a night of drunken partying this past December that ended up with police being called to Chapel Ridge Apartments, where two of them lived, to investigate a string of crimes.
