On a related topic, do those of you who subscribe to HBO feel you get your money's worth?

I mean, yeah, there's shows like TrueBlood, Treme, etc., but its wedged in to a pile full of ****. HBO doesn't show marquee movies anywhere near as much as it used to, its a lot of Domino-type crap.

I get to watch HBO when I'm in hotels and one of DirecTV's host channels is pretty much the dumping ground for year-old HBO shows, but there's no way I'd ever subscribe to it.

We generally get HBO in June for True Blood (and Hard Knocks in the past) and a few months worth of movies to combat boring summer television. We dump it in September and repeat the cycle the following summer. Costs us $75 for about four months with DirecTV.

We subscribe to HBO year-round, and it sucks most of the time.

I feel like we do. The main thing I like is the Sunday night 9:00 series. I go from one to the next. Like I said, it's seamless from Game of Thrones to True Blood to Boardwalk Empire.

On Comcast, we get must be 6 or 7 HBO channels, plus you have access to all HBO's OnDemand stuff which means I can watch the series replays whenever I want, repeats of series no longer on (I just watched a couple Deadwoods today, actually) and tons of movies whenever I want.

But for full disclosure, I have no idea what the cable bill is. My wife does all the bills. She's pretty tight thrifty, and doesn't complain, so I guess it's worth it.

I think it is worth it, for the series and for the occasional movie. Also, my daughter likes some of the stuff they show on HBO Family.

When we signed up for uvere, they kicked in all the movie channels for free. And even as bad as hbo can be, it kicks the **** out of starz or showtime. Those channels will have better movies, on occasion, but hbo's orignal programming is light years better.
haven't been a regular true blood watcher but the ten minute fairy opener was weird beyond words.

We're big 'Dexter' fans, but we watch it on DVD after release.
We're pretty close to dropping HBO and doing the same with 'True Blood,' 'Curb,' etc.

Actually, once I get Netflix permanently streaming to my TV, it's a done deal. Good-bye HBO.

Second episode was much better -- Eric and Jessica are always fun to watch. Sookie was less annoying than usual. Arlene certainly made up for her, though. What does Terry see in that ginger hole?

NO, he doesn't like the chicks in it. He thinks I'm the hottest chick out there, seriously...I think he needs to take off those clearly blinding eyeglasses. ::) ;D

Good episode tonight. I'm an Eric (Alex S'gard) fan, but they don't have to show him wearing no shirt and hip-hugger jeans. That's a little on the wrong side. I'm sure the chicks loved it.

I loved two Eric moments: 1. Calling Sookie Snookie. 2. His facial reaction in the last shot.

Also (and I read this in EW), interesting that they had Sookie reading a Charlene Harris book.

I caught that also, and laughed. Yes, some please put a damn shirt on Eric already!
The "changing Jason" angle is stupid. I liked it in the book better. But, I'm not shocked that Crystal was ok with raping him. Although...nice little rack she has got.
