After coming down with a crummy stomach virus, and sleeping most of yesterday away, I'm spending today slowly returning to the world of the living. My random observations:

Being sick sucks. Especially when the 'to-do' list is a mile long.
The phone rings more and more the worse you feel.
Thank goodness for Diet 7-Up. (I gag on sugar pop).
There are way, way too many prescription medicine commercials on TV.
How come the foreclosed houses commercial always advertises that those whose last names begin with A-K (or whatever letter it is) may begin calling today, the last half of the alphabet may begin calling tomorrow, but then they run the same commercial the next day. Why are they discriminating against the last half of the alphabet? Why can't they ever call that number?
This is one of those times when working from home actually has a big advantage.
Thank goodness for laptop computers.

Take it easy...
Read Sid.
Make some soup...
Pull the blanket up...

Say... can anyone recommend a good video she can watch?

I'd like to NOT resume throwing up if you don't mind.

One more to add to the list...
Kid calls from school reminding sick mom that he needs a ride home today because of an after-school project.

Agreed.

But we need more Geico commercials. Gecko and cavemen, those crack me up.

I spent all day yesterday sleeping on the couch, Rosie. I felt semi-human today, so it was a marked improvement. That sleep thing must work.

Another observation:

The Quiznos commercial must cease. Immediately.
Actually, Quiznos itself should cease to exist. Haven't had a good meal there yet. Whatever that crap is that they put on their sandwiches sure ruins good meat.

I think it does. Glad you're feeling better, Shottie.

Soda crackers, Ginger Ale and rest, as much as you can with kids. Get well. :)

You too, Shot.

I very rarely get sick but had to go to the doctor today. It's never a good sign when the doc recoils as he looks down your throat. Strep throat.

I actually ate some toast with peanut butter tonight. And -- threw a load of towels in the wash. Funny how cranky everyone gets when there's no clean towels. But I can't complain, hubby's chased after kids and my son kept asking if there was anything he could get me. Everyone's been gone most the day -- I've enjoyed the peace and quiet.

I'll probably be back running amok tomorrow.

Tina's here. We're getting back together!

Hey! Give us a minute!

That makes me ****ing laugh like hell every single time. Actually, they all do.

Whenever my Mom got sick, she always made me clean my room.

Does this mean we all have to clean out our PM inboxes?

And I said, "Why sure I'll sit with the kids. You're like a brother to me..."

I laugh out loud, every time. Oh, and...

I'll have the roast duck, with the mango chutney...

Sure, why not!

Everyone, clean your PM inboxes!

Zeke, isn't that mango salsa? BTW, FSN is running "Twins Classics" tonight -- Game 5 of the 1987 ALCS which put the Twins into the World Series. Ah, the memories! :D
