I didn't know this was debate.
I mean, Jerry and the gang always wanted the booth... But really, what group of grown up adults wants to sit in a booth, where you have to slide in out to let someone else out?
I prefer tables. Unless I have small children and need the booth for crowd control.
I'll take a table so long as its level and the dining room isn't small and packed.

I'm with Evil.

Boothes for keeping the kids at bay. Otherwise, tables are the clear choice.

With the kids: Booth
On a date: Booth
Double: Booth
Drinks after golf: Bar

Just this week, one of my friends and I met for dinner at a restaurant that had just remodeled after a flood. They switched from booths to tables. When we get together, we like to throw back a few beers as we catch up and watch whatever game is on. The tables were uncomfortable. We ate, left and then went to a different place to drink.

I like the idea of booths, but sometimes they can be uncomfortable. The booth table is up in your ribs or the seats are too narrow for two.

Table. Inevitably someone on the inside of the booth will have to use the restroom, which means getting up to let them out and getting up again to let them back in.

The worse are the circular booths that seat five or more. Beside being cramped, the person in the middle is always the one who has to pee.

The one reason I usually go for a table, if I have the option. (And yes, I do need to lose weight so I can eliminate that problem).

Sometimes there's a combo version ... one side of the table has a booth-like bench, and the other side has chairs.

In those situations, I choose the booth side, because usually the chairs back up into a walkway. So I suppose I'm in the booth camp.

The giant booths you see at some places that seat four per side aren't ideal, because at some point the far-inside guy's gonna have to whizz and it takes 10 minutes to let him out.

When Spike get child. Spike burn table. Spike now throw food on floor and child gobbles it up. Child would have done it anyway if had table. Cut out middle man.

There's a restaurant here that has mini TVs in all the booths. They're usually pretuned to Yankees games, but you can change the channels once you sit down.

I used to take first dates there, so I'd have some entertainment in case the date went bad.

I wonder if freqposter would approve of this.

Usually when we go out, it's me, my wife and our 18-year-old son. Wife and I sit on one side of the booth and the boy on the other.

Wife will sit on inside, but put her purse in first, further squeezing space on the bench seat.

At a table, she can put her purse beneath her chair or at her feet.

Booth. Absolutely booth. Even if I am on my own, which is usually the case. I hate chairs and tables. I have never been in a booth that wobbled. I can spread my fat ass all over that wonderful, cushioned booth. And I can set whatever I am carrying next to me in the booth. I need to buy a booth for home.
