I really should get some Sinatra. I have a nephew who loves Ol' Blue Eyes. He also loves Creed. Go figure.

Maybe a Ray Charles greatest hits type album.

Beatles 27.

ACDC black album.

People here give it ****, but I prefer License to Ill over Paul's Botique.

If I ever have to start over, I'll have to rebuy Appetite for Destruction.

Allman Brothers Live at the Filmore East is a must, as is San Quentin as someone else mentioned.

Purchase Kanye West's entire catalog.

You're welcome.

A well-known Internet musical tastemaker has tagged Niggas in Paris as destine to win the Grammy.

(Somewhat) knowing your taste, here's stuff you might like:

- Deer Tick
- Old Crow Medicine Hat
- Early Black Keys albums (The Big Come Up and Thickfreakness especially)
- Shuggie Otis Plays The Blues
- Mustard Plug (OK, that one is a joke)

Some of the next songs I download will be Viking folk metal. Drop the Heathen Hammer or something to that effect. It's real. And heals the soul.

Master of Puppets and And Justice for All should be the first two albums downloaded.

They might not be my first two, but they would both probably be in the top 10. Ride the Lightning as well...

There are some websites out there where you could have your library completely replenished by the end of the day, free of charge... :D

As Moddy said, you can never go wrong with Foo Fighters.

If I had to replenish my collection, I'd be looking for Pearl Jam, White Stripes, The Pixies, The Killers, Zeppelin, early GNR, early Metallica, Beastie Boys, Roots, Tribe Called Quest, Jay-Z, very early Springsteen....

I would bet a whole lot of money Random Letters would never own a song by Tribe, Jay or The Roots.

**** iTunes. I got like 4,000 songs on mp3 and they want me to buy them all again at 99c a shot. **** that ****.

Why can't you just upload those files to your iTunes library?

And Justice for All? That's like fifth on my list of the top five Metallica albums.

1. Ride the Lightning
2. Master of Puppets
3. Kill 'Em All
4. Metallica (the black album)
5. And Justice for All

Part of that is probably because the first song I think of off AJfA is "One," which is pretty much the only big Metallica song I don't like.

YGBFKM: you mean to say that Vulgar Display of Power, Cowboys from Hell and Far Beyond Driven aren't your first downloads?

Yeah, I didn't get that either.

And doesn't the ICloud's system of replacing songs with their ITunes version make it possible to effectively launder mp3's into official ITunes songs? I know that was the gist of a story I was reading a few months ago.

Exactly - if you are going to start over start with the classics and build from there.
You have a kid now and need to become more discerning in your music tastes.
That said I would highly recommend Niggas in Paris.

I find Amazon Cloud to be flawless and a lot less intrusive than I Tunes. Works perfectly on my Android phone.

I'm posting suggestions chronologically, beginning in 1685.

So I'll get to my Jay-Z and Kanye recommendations in June of 2016.
