That’s what an 70’s All-Star game looked and felt like youngsters. Sorry you folks don’t get to see that effort nowadays in the AS Game.

I certainly wasn't in the "USA!!!!" camp, I just loved the intensity with the stars. When was the last time Pitt was in a relevant game? Play-in against Giants in 2012? Seeing Skenes face down the DR was awesome. Then Rodgers gets Soto, a lefty, to bounce into a DP? Baseball at its best, here in March.

Oh I totally understand what you were saying...I didn't think you were getting USA tattooed on your ass during the seventh-inning stretch. But the players definitely care more than usual. Should be REALLY interesting tomorrow if Venezuela wins tonight.

I went to the USA-DR game last night. One helluva game. Great pitching and defense.

I had no idea, from where I was sitting, that it was a pretty bad called third strike. Not the best way to end a great game.

The crowd was amazing to be a part of. I wasn’t rooting either way, other than for fun baseball.

It seemed about a 70-30 crowd in favor of DR fans. And they were absolutely IN every pitch and having a lot of fun.

I’m am 100 percent in favor of doing this as a two-week All-Star break every three years. That would be outstanding. But I doubt it will happen.
