Smasher's Pa. journey sounds way cooler than watching Cool Runnings in Calgary ... which I've done.

That (only banned word on SJ) is no good.

Nice talk.

Buy ya a soda after the game?

"Coach, I want that hundred dollars."

"You gotta earn it, Killer."

"My attitude's right!"

"You can't put a bounty on a man's head!"

"I just did."

Doorbell rings repeatedly.

"Jee-zus Christ."

Smasher, go there and watch a game at War Memorial.

Me and some guys I used to work with road tripped it up there. Drove all over the town to see the different scenes, and then watched the Chiefs drop the puck. They won in an OT shootout.

We would have had a drink at the Aces, but it's at the top of the incline while the rest of the town is below it. Oh, and it's also really a banquet hall.

But they used to go up every year. And we always talk about how we all want to do it again.

Little known trivia: The referee at the end of the game is a guy named **** Roberge, the all-time leading goal scorer in minor-league history.

Damn power outage cost me another chance at this classic.

Effing weather!

The beauty of bringing back an old thread: ondeadline is now inadvertently reporting that the B-52s appeared in Slap Shot.

Right now, on Encore!

I was planning on going to bed early last night. When I saw Slap Shot was on, I had to stay up.

Hoosiers is on one of the Starz channels right now.

Lily Braden: What's the story on that dog?
Reggie Dunlop: That's the dog that saved Charleston from the 1938 flood.
Lily Braden: Well **** him.

I could go all day with this.
