Washington, Oregon and California all want to. But Congress is holding up the show. BC just got tired of waiting, and I can't blame them.

Colorado has approved if I believe three or four other states in the Mountain time zone come along. Pretty sure Wyoming and Montana are already on board too.

It would be a better health outcome if everyone stayed on year-round standard time. But fat chance of that ever happening.

If places do make DST permanent, schools will have to adjust their schedules accordingly in the darkest days but that should be an easy fix. States like Texas and others that are split by time zone boundaries will need to sort things out first lest they wind up with a 2-hour shift when crossing a border.
