Executions in China in 2005 = 8,000 (est., including for offenses such as tax evasion)

You're off by oh, maybe 7,000 but if you work really hard and apply yourself you'll win the gold.

Talk about missing the ****ing point by about 5,000 kilometres.

I had a wicked backhand. Probably still do, for all I know.

We always had a rink in our backyard growing up.

I used to practice that sucker all the time.

Mind you, this was in the day before curved sticks.

Best backhand in the NHL used to be Kariya.

As a goalie, they're a ***** because you cannot read where they're going.

No, I got it from a lefty organization and a lefty Web site, even.

And I got your point loud and clear, the same point you always make: We suck.

Before curved sticks? Damn, JR.

My range with the think was probably two and a half feet, but back in the day I could shelf that sucker.

Would never fail to drive my crazy when one of my players would deke backhand but then hit the goalie in the pad. Either go five hole or ring the crossbar, but don't float that thing in the middle of the net. You aren't that fast... ;)

Not according to that other notorious lefty organization Amnesty International.

"We suck"?

Now, that made me laugh. Good analytical thinking, Lyman.

Zeke, I'm pre goalie masks for God's sakes.

If you're a left handed shot coming down the left side, cut across and go short side.

The goalie will be looking for his jock in the third row.

We also seem to have the death penalty for lots of people who didn't actually commit the crime as well. But, in fairness, most of them looked pretty shady to begin with.
Name someone who was actually executed for a crime they didn't commit in the United States since Gregg v. Georgia. If you don't like the death penalty, amend the Constitution of the United States.
But to equate whipping a rape victim to the existence of a Constitutional form of punishment is ludicrous and irrational.
t.

And I don't like the death penalty. Since you have given me written permission to amend it, I will head straight to the National Archives with a red marker.

Thanks.
Why not try doing it the legal way? Being a self righteous prick for the left is no less unflattering than being a pompous ass on the right. I didn't make up the fact that Saudi Arabia considers itself an Islamic country, following Islamic law and whips a gang-rape victim 200 times, pursuant to their law.

I always liked that one better for lefties. If you're a righty, and the guy has a good glove, he might snip you off, because it's pretty hard to get anything on it. I'm a meat and potatoes guy. Toe-heel, one quick move to the backhand and shelf it. Now, if I deke to my forehand, I'm holding it a while longer, see if I want to go far post or five hole.

Zeke,

You never told us you were a Canadian.

We're journalists. We're supposed to cut through the bull**** and get to the point.

And to cut through your bull****, I need a chainsaw.

Hey, funny thing is I have the replica of that sweater. Down to the "7" on the back. :)

Irish,

After almost 100 years the Scottish side of my family is still pissed that my grandfather married an Irish woman.

Hey, but my father knew the odd Gaelic phrase. :)

I'm a mutt, too. Anglo-Irish background mixed with a few other ethnicities. Most people who bear my name live in Ulster and 1/3 of them are Anglican, 1/3 are Catholic and 1/3 Presbyterian. I like having a mixed background...it keeps me from being sectarian.
