Sure, it's three months away, but as my buddy and I were talking about today, Chiefs fans have been thinking about the draft since Nov. 1. We might as well start a thread.

Some news today: One of the announcers on ESPN just announced Kansas CB Aqib Talib is leaving a year early. Earlier today UCF RB Kevin Smith announced he's changed his mind and will also declare.

Who's going No. 1, and is Matt Ryan going to drop like Leinart did a couple years back?

Re: Running NFL Draft thread -- why wait?

Chiefs should take Jake Long. I don't want to consider other options right now ;)

Re: Running NFL Draft thread -- why wait?

You people need therapy ... serious therapy.

Re: Running NFL Draft thread -- why wait?

Hey, no we don't! I was just telling someone today I was starting to get excited for the draft. Used to throw a kegger for it in college (by our senior year, there were actually girls there!)
- Can Miami find anyone who's willing to trade up into No. 1?
- Do the Browns deal D.A. for draft picks? What could they even get for him?
- What positions are strong this year? Seems like a good year to sure up your RB corps.

I tried a 12-step program, but fell off at the part where i had to talk to all the people my draft addiction hurt.

Re: Running NFL Draft thread -- why wait?

I would love to see Talib in a Patriots uniform and it could very well happen. I expect them to take a cornerback very high, even if Asante does not leave.

Re: Running NFL Draft thread -- why wait?

Just like everyone to know I've been raving on Paul Smith since I saw him play early this season.
I really hope some douche team doesn't grab him and **** up his future.

And spnited, the draft is therapy for those of us who have our teams to root for.

Bull****.

I can't wait for the MLB Draft thread. Maybe I'll start one in March.

Anxiously awaiting tim's analysis on the upcoming draft.

Re: Running NFL Draft thread -- why wait?

I'm proud of you for trying, am. It's not to late .. in fact, the ****ing draft is so far away you can go through the program 2 or 3 times before anyone else even gives a flying **** about the draft.

I have no clue how it happened, or what the hell they were thinking, but it's not bull****, I swear.

Then that's an amazing feat. I don't know if I'd even go to a draft party -- with beer included.

OK, I would. But the beer better be cold.

We always splurged on good stuff, though we learned our first year that it couldn't be too heavy or you'd be so insanely full by the end of the first day.
