What's up with Lieberman's projection?

CNN.com shows that Lamont only trails by about 17,000 with only 25 percent of precincts reporting. I know Lamont was on live on CNN a few minutes ago, but I didn't hear his speech.

I believe CNN just projected Ford to fall in Tennessee, and Allen's lead in Virginia is up to nearly 30,000 with 91 percent of the vote in.

This site says the VA race is tighter.

It was so completely ridiculous early that everyone where I'm at had bug eyes at the proclamation. It was so premature, it makes BYH look like a marathon man.

I said this on the other thread, but it bears repeating. Much like Al Gore in December of 2000, I have never liked Rick Santorum more than watching him give the concession speech. He was gracious -- exhorting the crowd to give Casey a real round of applause -- and had none of his typical sharp edges.

They did. According to the current CNN.com totals, which certainly could be inaccurate, there's only a 5,000-vote margin. But I don't have all the information they considered, such as where the votes will be coming from later tonight. Right now, only 33 percent of precincts have reported. But that's just what the site says. Does anybody have different numbers on this?

Hey relax - I had 50 states to choose from. I picked West Virginia at random. It could have just as easily been california.

At this point, other than the total Senate numbers, Steele would be a very nice silver lining, I'm not betting on it. After all of the nonsense in the past, it's really shocking that these idiot news stations would call a race that is so blatantly not over.

Baltimore city, and Montgomery and Prince George's county - overwhelmingly Democratic and which current returns favor Cardin overwhelmingly - are the big precints that have reported the least. So Cardin is very much a safe bet.

Early official results in Yellowstone County had Tester up by nearly 1,000 votes. If Burns doesn't win (traditionally Republican) Yellowstone County, there is now way he can win this thing. Interesting....
