Running CFB Playoff Debate Thread

So in this scenario, the bowls have disappeared? Or those eight teams are outside of the bowls and everyone else gets to play in a bowl?

When talking about it with some of the "regular season means so much" people 20 years ago, I'd ask why couldn't they keep the horse**** bowl games that they have now? Will the Cure Bowl mean more or less if the playoff goes from 4 to 8 or 16 teams?

You don't wanna go against the NFL, then go Thursday Night, Friday Night, and doubleheader Saturday the first weekend.

I kind of like that structure and I definitely think the neutral sites are a good idea because of the weather differences.

That's a big strain on fan bases though by the time you get to a third week of travel. Could have more trouble than you think selling out the first or second weekends. Not that ticket sales and the crowd attendance is a huge consideration, but it does lend atmosphere.

I'm just using Oklahoma as an example.........but they could play on the road 12 times a year, and still draw very very well.
Let's face it......if you're playing big boy college football, you don't give a damn if you're playing on the moon......your fans are going to follow.

I hope so. I've enjoyed what I've seen of UCF this season, and this looks like the bowl version of irresistible force and immovable object.

This kid's a great story. Now watch him not get an invite to the Senior Bowl, in state, after #TheReturn. Phil Savage will spurn him, just as he did when J. J. Nelson came out. Nelson had huge stats as a kick and punt return guy and was solid as a small burner WR. Ran the fastest time at the Combine. Plays for the Phoenix Cardinals now. Senior Bowl for a UAB player? Nahhh.
