Last year, I was listening to a late season Steelers game in the car and wondered, aloud - right here -, why the analysts could barely talk. There was a little part of me that hoped, "I hope he isn't coming off a stroke or has something like ALS".

Sure enough.

I have full admiration for him going out there, every week, to do this job as his body was shutting down.

ALS is the worst of the worst. One of the few medical conditions I actively fear.
