The first generation of all those early stars is about done, but the well got much wider and deeper with their success. The Jim Rome radio interview with Evel Knievel was legendary. They were talking about the Snake River jump and all of the problems with the rocket, and Evel said he calculated that there was a 50-50 chance he would die. Rome was taken aback a bit and asked why he would go through with it if he knew it was basically a coin flip on life and death.
Evel paused and just said, matter-of-factly, "Do you know who the hell I am?"
