I mourn, while also not being able to comprehend what his death means to my wife, in-laws and other South Africans.

There were always fears about what might happen in the country when he died, but those always seemed like fear-mongering from people who seemingly wanted the country to do what it didn't when Mandela took over: Tear apart.
