RIP Meat. I guess.

Porky's came out when I was 14. Yeah, you can imagine.

In some ways it was really tame by today's standards, in terms of what it actually showed. But could that even get made today? Even at the time Siskel and Ebert criticized it for its "objectification and degradation of women and the childish nature of its antagonists."
 
One of the great bad-guy-gets-his scenes of my lifetime was the politician (Edward Winter) with Wendy in the swanky restaurant at the end of Porky's 2.
 
I understand Rev. Bubba Flavel will be officiating the graveside service Thursday at 2 p.m. at Angel Beach Memorial Gardens.

It was odd in a way because it was juvenile and sexist, but it had a storyline about antisemitism.
