Assuming it's accurate, and TMZ seems to always be on these, he was 54. But obviously a host of issues with addiction and depression.

Oh no. Read his book a few months ago, very funny and brutally honest. But he really seemed to finally be in a good place.

Story checks out, though. All those drugs ain't good for the heart. Heart attack in the hot tub.

The one where Chandler was in a hot tub

Holy crap. Dude lived a short but merry life.
RIP

Could this BE any more shocking?

Always enjoyed his work. I swear that part was meant for Jason Bateman, but Bateman was unhireable at the time. Always wished the best for Perry post-Friends and watched his follow-ups, but they just weren't as good.

See, I would have guess a prescription drug related drowing in a hot tub. Much more believeable. Which would preclude doing a mess of drugs on the side of a hot tub. Mix in a little alcohol. Easy.

My wife just told me about this a little while ago. He was also my favorite of the Friends. Also enjoyed his recurring role on The West Wing.

Show started when I was in college. Was pretty standard to watch Friends and Seinfeld on Thursdays before heading out the bars or playing cards afterward.

Leaving to go out after 10 p.m. certainly seems crazy to me now.

Friends certainly had it's haters, but I enjoyed it. And Perry was excellent in his role. Became part of the fabric of pop culture.

I do hope he found peace in the last few years.
