True. But you could make a case for him being more successful at Moeller than with the Irish.

Faust facts: Left ND with a winning record. Coached ND to a no. 1 ranking after his first win. They never were ranked that high again. Coached John Boehner at Moeller.

ND and USC have each had some odd hires over the years considering their pedigrees. Robinson was not an odd hire. But the Robinson 2.0 hire at USC definitely was.

Was Swann worse than Pat Haden? Mike Garrett? Garrett fired Robinson (who only won a national title for USC) by leaving a message on his answering machine to end Robinson's second stint with the Trojans.
Even Mike Bohn was apparently on the outs at Cincinnati due to office behavior when USC hired him - you know, these schools hire these search firms for their "due diligence" and all that.

Ex-USC AD Mike Bohn was reportedly under investigation for workplace misconduct before leaving Cincinnati

I was seven years old when Faust was named HC at Notre Dame and wasn't a big college football fan growing up many miles from South Bend, so I either forgot or more likely had no idea until I read his obit that he made the high school to Notre Dame leap. That's incredible. An even wilder example of a much simpler and more relaxed time than BYU winning the national title by going 12-0 w/a Holiday Bowl win a few days before Christmas.

IIRC, Price made it through spring practice, at least.
The stripper has always reminded me of Tiny Tim ... in the face.
In hopes of making a big first impression Price stacked the teams for the A-Day spring game, resulting in a final score of 47-0.

Weeks later in Pensacola he made a much more lasting impression.
