But by joining in, you're doing exactly what you accuse him of doing. It's like killing people who kill people. All you get is more dead people.

Fred Phelps is one of the reasons I argue against what I consider to be official board policy against criticism of those who just died. And I know Moddy has said it's not an announcement from on high but he did say it, so it has that effect.

Phelps and his brood brought real harm onto people like me. His brand of hatred has reserved a special place in Hell for him. I have no love for the cretin. He is the personification of bigotry and hatred.

I hope he rots in Hell for all eternity, if such a concept even exists. And I don't feel a shred of remorse for that.

Honestly, who gives a ****? Phelps gained so much fame because the media embraced his attention-whoring freak show, and it did so because of the reader/viewer numbers the Westboro stories drew, far more so than because of actual harm caused. He's gone, so now we're out looking for his replacement? Spare me.

There's always gonna be hateful ****heads spewing hateful ****. Here's an idea, how bout we don't give them the attention they're obviously seeking? How bout we don't make them celebrities and put money in their pocket? You wanna hurt them, then ignore them, that's what people like Phelps fear most.
