He reportedly had flu-like symptoms before he collapsed. Sounds a little like Brittany Murphy. I could see some drug interaction issues at play here.

Upon further review, Mystery Date was Ethan Hawke, not Corey Haim. So you had both the guy AND the girl wrong, sp. :)
