If this is to be believed, he ought to have his skinny ass kicked!

Prince absolutely killed it on “Jimmy Fallon” Friday night, playing his new tune “Screwdriver” and the classic “Bambi.”
After Unleashing a blistering solo on Bambi he did a guitar virtuoso’s version of dropping the mic before walking off stage, throwing his guitar up into the air and letting it crash to the ground. Just one problem: the axe wasn’t his. The Gear Page points out the guitar was a gorgeous 1961 Epiphone Crestwood that belongs to Captian Kirk Douglas of Fallon’s house band The Roots. Apparently when Prince arrived for rehearsal he admired the guitar and asked to borrow it for the performance.

The Roots were going to kick his ass, but they came in for pancakes and basketball instead.

Prince acting like a douchebag is certainly nothing new... Kevin Smith told stories about spending a couple days with him and Howard Stern has told stories about going to a private concert where Prince was performing where he just does incredibly strange and douchey things because he can...

He's a complete douche. He's insanely talented, one of the best living guitarists and he's produced a couple of the best albums of the last 30 years... That doesn't excuse this kind of behavior...

PRINCE IS A GOLDEN GOD!

Ok, no, he's not. C.J. from the Strib a few days back:

Someone as upstanding as Prince — who always makes sure his property taxes are paid promptly and would never paint a house he was renting purple — is probably just trying to decide when is the best time to deliver a check or another guitar to Capt. Kirk. (Insert hysterical laughter here.)

Wow.
News to me.
But yeah, not surprising, because he is immensely talented.
Prolly the most talented all-around musician of my generation.

You give a guitar to Prince, he's going to throw it in the stands. You rent a house to Prince, he's going to paint it purple.

People need to take more responsibility for their Prince-related actions.

Nothing new here from him. Talented guy, no doubt, but thinks he's a purple god.

What didn't get mentioned is that he was then asked to sign the guitar and refused, pretty freaking douchy and I love Prince.

No auto spellcheck for 'douchebag?'

Skynet not yet self-aware.

It's not easy to sign this:

Mizzou, the night we go to dinner with Prince be aware he never pays for anything and DO NOT let him borrow your rental car to make a run to Target.

Prince could trademark the term douche.

When I was in college working special events, we were setting up the stage for a Prince concert at the local arena, and he wanted to check in on things. Everyone was forced to stop what they were doing, move to the outside of the floor, and face away. We were told that if we spoke to him or even looked at him, we would be fired. What a ****ing god complex. I'll never spend a penny on anything that he will profit from.

Have a buddy who is a pretty successful guitarist and he played with Prince not too long ago. He had plenty of stories. Said he would prefer to not work with him again.

That's awesome. That's exactly how I would be if I were a major celebrity who could get away with it.

Will he require a booster seat? I've heard he's a wee little fellow... :D

You heard right. He like to sit on phone books, less obvious.

Are you sure it wasn't Nick Saban?

Hmmm. I had read some things in recent years Prince had toned down his douchedick behavior, but apparently he likes to keep in practice.

One thing for him to keep in mind: if you make a habit of acting like Elvis or Michael Jackson, odds are pretty good you'll end up like 'em.
