Anybody know what the latest news on the possible Pens' relocation is?

An old folks community in the sunbelt, think Florida, is ponying up a lot of money to build a new rink. They all moved from the north when they got old, and the one thing they miss on the weekends is hockey.

Think of all the snatch by the pool!

Maybe Salt Lake and Pittsburgh can make a trade. Pitt gets Real Salt Lake, Utah gets Sid Crosby

I don't like that trade. I would much rather someone step forward and help finance a new area for the Penguins so that they stay in town.

Bad trade for Pittsburgh, which would you rather have, Crosby or Adu?
No contest its Crosby

Check out the demographics in Pittsburgh. It pretty much is an old folks community without the sunshine.

I'm working on a story about this right now.

I'm trying to capture the spirit of the thing.

Hmmm...retirees from Florida....any of the Pittsburgh SportsJournalists.com types remember the would-be ABA Pittsburgh Hardhats from two or three years ago?

TV and radio here seems to think a deal to keep the team in Pittsburgh will be done in the next few days.

ya, it looks that way, the governor has offered them a pretty good deal on a new arena, Kansas City is really the only competition but I think they are going to stay in the Burgh, I think they are just posturing for a better deal though ... I guess we'll see in a week or so

Who in their right mind would buy a last-place team?

Pens are second in the Atlantic Division to New Jersey, who they would face as the seventh seed if the Eastern Conference playoffs were to start today.

Pens are actually on fire right now, they have the best young talent in the league and arguably the best player in the league (who is only 19), who the hell wouldn't want to buy them (anyone with an extra $200 mil anyway)

We were all there, we all saw it with our own eyes!!

Mark Madden says Pens have an arena deal, then less than hour later, he's reporting "not so fast".

KDKA's Andy Sheehan says deal is not done, close but could breakdown again.

TSN's Bob McKenzie says the deal is not done and hit a stumbling block.

Pierre McGuire told guys with MSG (on tv), Pens have an arena deal.

So go figure....
