The howling for Valhalla to not get another PGA because of scoring is so unfair. 20 under won the COVID-era Masters. 20 under won Opens at St. Andrews and Royal Troon. And a PGA at Whistling Straits. You can't make the majors an oasis from the John Deere Classics when there's little wind and soft greens.
Weather makes courses at the top level. It was 51, misty and windy on the Cape Cod course I played (poorly indeed) today and in those conditions, there's no 20-unders out there no matter how good these guys are. The Royal and Ancient's attitude towards their rota is the sensible one. Some summers, it's warm, dry and calm by British standards and somebody will go real low to win. Some summers, it'll be cold or wet or windy or all three and then look out field. But the champ will still be the best player.

I don’t care about course or score if we get a back 9like today. That was a great ending.

PS I thought Bryson would be the one to falter, not Victor.

BTW, Xander should have won because he hit two tremendous shots down the stretch, that hybrid out of the bunker on 10 looked like a laser to the green (unfortunately came out short then he hacked into a bogey) and then the second shot on 18, ball substantially above his fee on grass while he's standing in the bunker? (really top notch, that's not easy to hit that 260 yds greenside.

Watching bits of pieces of PGA from yesterday.
There was tornado warnings in the area, so most of the late stages of yesterday in our coverage was either split-screened or all the way weather.
I didn’t realize that Bryson hit 8-iron from 221 into 16. Oh…..and to about 4 feet. Even on tv, that ball was absolutely whistling off the club face.
There are three people I would love to be next to on a range session.
Nick Price
Tiger Woods (early 2000’s)
Bryson DeChambeau

There’s video out there now of the Scheffler incident. Cop wasn’t dragged or injured. The cop’s story is total bull****.

I was on vacation last week (Chicago, good time) and this is the first time I've seen this threat title. Bravo. Bra-to-the-****ing-vo.

In this day and age, with cameras everywhere, why do clowns think they'll get away with it?? Diddy meet stupid cop. I'm glad for Scottie that he's been proven to be wronged (well he did commit a traffic violation but that certainly didn't justify a cop trying to smash his windshield with the flashlight and then getting hauled out of the car and cuffed.)

Cop more than likely takes a 5 a.m. 'roid shot before heading to this duty because that's his daily routine before hitting the gym. That's not normal behavior.

That or he's less than blessed in a certain area of the male anatomy and was gone shownthose golfers a thing or two.

This will end up being a traffic violation because they have to do SOMETHING after all this. But yes, exceedingly stupid for the cop to think there wouldn't be video, even though his body cam was conveniently not activated.

Scottie's lawyer says they're not dealing.

"Our position is the same as it was last Friday. Scottie Scheffler didn't do anything wrong. We're not interested in settling the case; we will either try it or it'll be dismissed. It's very simple. All the evidence that continues to come out just continues to support what Scottie said all along: This was a chaotic situation and miscommunication, and he didn't do anything wrong."
