Even though I like the schedule change, it’s still not “normal” to me that the PGA Championship is now second and not the last major on the schedule.
Anyway, a major so I thought thread worthy. I’m looking forward to this one. Some good storylines.
The biggest of course with Scottie and Rory, Nos. 1 and 2 in the world, both coming in hot. Scottie new dad and Rory a new bachelor.
Would be a fantastic showdown if they’re both in contention on Sunday. But it’s the PGA, and it often seems like something/someone unexpected emerges as the big story.
Jon Rahm doing some work trying to bridge the PGAT-LIV gap. Not sure it went over too well. I’m a fan of Rahm. But it’s a bit convenient to try to cast yourself as a uniter when you just pocketed a half-billion bucks. Sure he wants to play some regular Tour events and have the money.
Tiger dodged any meaningful update on the negotiations.
The game in general could use a classic major championship right about now.
