People being disinterested in current events doesn't make them dumb.

That's a good point. There are probably nuclear physicists and biotechnology aces who wouldn't be able to tell you the name of a sitting United States senator.

HOWEVER ...

I don't think that those kind of people make up the majority of the people taking the quiz and failing.

Oh, 10/11. Zipped through the bailout question thinking, "Stimulus" instead. Dumb mistake.

Missed only one, the PM question, then I remembered that Hayward very recently went to the queen and quit. I am not happy I missed that.

Hayward is the BP CEO. It was Gordon Brown who quit, paving the way for ... David Cameron.

I can live with people being uncertain about the British PM, especially since there was just a change. But only 28 percent of Americans know who the Chief Justice of our own Supreme Court is? Disgraceful.
