My daughter is getting married later this year. One of the big questions is whether she should invite both her grandfather and grandmother, who are married and live at the same address. She has not talked to her grandfather in about 9 years because of a dispute between him and her mom, my wife. My wife also has not talked to her father in that time but both have talked to her grandmother.
My daughter only wants to address the invitation to her grandmother. My feeling is she should invite both, so her grandfather cannot say he wasn't invited.
My bigger hope is that he actually accepts and attends the wedding and they can start to resolve this dispute and begin to heal again before it's too late. My daughter insists she will not invite him.
