Jeez Louise, four pages and no Bryan Ferry or Roxy Music?
There are few diamonds among the roughage in here, so as a legendary actor would say, allow me to retort with some suggestions:
Jackie Brown soundtrack - lots of old-school soul. Gave it to Mrs. Terrier as an anniversary present, and one week, she hasn't taken it out of her dashboard player.
Love Spirals Downwards - if you're into the more gothic, ethereal stuff. If LSD (or its successor, Lovespirals) is too outre for you (as it is for Mrs. T), there's plenty of Cure (particularly "Disintegration") and Siouxsie & the Banshees that will work.
Kate Bush - If you amourata has an ounce of Anglophile in her, she will not resist "Wuthering Heights."
If you have a lava lamp around for full effect, Velvet Underground's "Venus in Furs." And Lou can bust out come candy like "Satellite of Love" or "Perfect Day" when the mood hits him.
Lush's "Last Night," Track 9 on "Lovelife" (but be careful you don't hit Track 7, "Ciao," greatest breakup song ever IMHO).
Maria McKee's "Breathe" - "I will make you breathe through me."
"Parrafin," Ruby - Bump. Grind. Repeat as needed.
U2's "Stay."
Joy Division.
Aretha.
Otis Redding's "I've Been Loving You Too Long" (if you can time your moment of release well, use the Monterrey Pop version and hit those horn blasts at the end of the first version).
