I have always loved the debate about which sportsing events would I have attended/covered if I had the chance. A lot of times I will say, "that would have made my ten" when thinking watching a sporting event. Honestly, I do not even know what makeup my "10."

So I want to try and do a huge poll to decide this. I think there is an unlimited number to the amount of possible choices in a poll, so that will work well for this undertaking.

Here is a very quick possible list of choices.

I know I have not listed every possible sporting event that could go in this poll.

Soccer, horse racing, auto racing, Olympics, baseball I'm sure is woefully lacking. I'm sure I misspelled some names, also. Any additions are welcome.

That is what I am asking the collective membership of this board to add to this list with posts. I will do my best to add the responses to the master list.

One request, please try to keep the additions to something that you think two or three other people at least would like to see in their top 10.

Once I feel I have enough to do complete poll, then I will, of course, create the poll.

Hopefully this will be a nice poll. If no one feels like doing it, well at least I tried.

You should probably add the Sampras-Courier match right after Sampras' coach was diagnosed with cancer (or maybe it was right after he died). Sampras was crying on court, still pulled out a 5-set win. Also the last Davenport-Venus Williams Wimbledon final. Best women's match I've watched as an adult.

And why's the only hockey from the Olympics?

Ali-Frazier? no?

Colorado FB Kordell to Westbrook

Kobe's 82-pt game?

Where's Bear Lake High School's upset of Marsh Valley in the 1987 Fifth District tournament championship game? There was a backup forward that scored four of the most underrated points in the history of high school basketball.

Or three years earlier, when that same player became the first player in the history of Idaho high school basketball to make a 3-pointer?

In Soccer, I think that you could add to the mix:

Maradona-England in 1986
Zizou's headbutt
Man United - Bayern Munich in 1999
Liverpool-AC Milan in 2006

your failure to include any jv, cross country, cheerleading, etc. shows just how unprofessional you are as a journalist.

Braves winning the World Series in 1957

There isn't much auto racing on any lists so far. So how about these:

Dale Earnhardt winning the Daytona 500
Dale Earnhardt dying on the final lap of the Dayonta 500 in 2001
Alan Kulwicki winning the 1992 Winston Cup title
Michael Schumacher winning his seventh F1 title
Any title or significant race won by Mario Andretti, AJ Foyt, Richard Petty and Rick Mears
The F1 race that included the accident which took the life of Aryton Senna
IRL and CART splitting in 1995 (idiots)
The German CART race where Alex Zanardi crashed and was miraculously saved
The Indianapolis Grand Prix where the tires stunk and hardly any drivers competed

Poin ... stellar ...

Where's hockey?
Like ...

The 1972 Summit Series
Bobby Orr's flying goal
The Calgary Flames becoming the only team in history to win the Cup on Forum ice
Bobby Baun's game-winner (yeah, yeah, JR ... Leafs history ... some of it is important)
The 1987 Canada Cup

There's more ... dammit ... this cold is fogging my brain.

Flasher, sweetie,

See above, "Miracle on Manchester"

Xan, doll ... I've been a Flames fan since I was 4. I've blocked out most Oilers accomplishments.
