The PNW is the only part of the country I haven't seen. It's at the top of my list for next year's vacation. I'm already heading to Chicago this summer.

go to portland, not seattle.

Rose City goes in the back, bigs guy.

Fixed to represent the newest addition to the SportsJournalists.com lexicon, Mr. Babar. Consider this your one warning. ;) :)

June 13-15, you should go.

I'm in Chicago the first week of June and then I got the Bonnarroo festival (which is only about an hour from home) the next week. So maybe next time.

Well, that's too bad. I was hoping for more Yankee fans at the Outing, but that's OK. Now maybe I won't get punched when I am ridiculously drunk and spouting about the '98 Yankees being the greatest team ever.

fixed. :D

Sheeeit, the Yankees could be 5 games under at that point and still have a better record than the Mariners or Nats, so I will be OK in that department.

I'm in SEC country, but I don't give a **** if the SEC is great or full of fail -- though the arguments here are very entertaining. And I haven't thrown a punch since fifth grade.

I don't know what it's like elsewhere, but flying to Seattle out of Atlanta is expensive as hell -- way more than, say, flying to San Fran. That's just about the only reason I haven't been there yet.

Nope, you are a Californian now. The only thing you are allowed to do is to move to a PNW city and raise the housing prices and make all of us hate you.

Yeah, I don't know what the deal is on that. It is cheaper for me to fly to Spokane - tiny ass airport - from West Texas than it is to fly to Seattle. It is pretty obnoxious.

thanks for your help guys ... please, more about what to do in SF.

I saw the bush man and the sea loions when we were there last summer. Both very, very cool. And Lombard St. is one hell of a hike.

As I mentioned on the Alcatraz thread, all the tours were booked the two days we were there but we took a bay cruise and got lots of good views of the Rock. Cruise is highly recommended, great views of the Golden Gate and the city, which is just beautiful.
