Two former registered nurses accused of engaging in sex acts together when they were being paid to care for a 98-year-old woman in her home were sentenced Tuesday to jail and placed on probation for five years.
Russel Torralba and Alfredo Ruiz, both 43, each pleaded guilty to one count of inflicting mental suffering on an elder. They each received the maximum term available under their respective plea agreements.
