Did anyone else know he was ON the Iraq Study Group?
Nice to see Mr. Take-it-to-'em-on-offense, Mayor Tough Guy couldn't be bothered to make the meetings.

In all fairness, the study group was a bunch of retired people or people voted out of office who had nothing more important to be doing with their time... Chaired by James Baker and Lee Hamilton. Lawrence Eagleburger, Ed Meese, Leon Panetta, Sandra Day O'Connor, etc. It isn't like the schedule was being set to accommodate a bunch of people serving in office right now or trying to run for president. It was a job made for a 70-year-old former politician. Not someone with current ambitions.

Never said it wasn't, Guy. But this is typical Rudy.
I guarantee you if something good ever came out of the ISG, Rudy would be out on the stump talking about his participation in the ISG...even if there was none.

At the time of the Iraq Study Group, Rudy hat yet to announce his candidacy. So he was a "former" politician at that given moment.

Unfortunately, Rudy selling the emotions of 9/11 still works for him.

How fortunate for him that his fortified bunker located at a previously targeted location (WTC 93') crumbled to the ground and forced him to take the streets and play hero.

Read the whole story. He blew off the meetings so he could go make speeches that made him $11 million.
Oh, and his former BFF is weeping.

Maybe he felt the committee had become "to politicised"

I'm sure he felt that way after going to the first meeting...

Nope, that's pure Rudy.

If he couldn't take the advice of creating better relationships between the NYPD and the minority communities of NYC, why would he waste time with a study group?

It is? And why is that?
Because President Stupid ignored it?

No, he formed it, why would he form it to ignore it. You have it reversed. He ignored it because it was a joke.

Hadn't got a chance in hell of winning the presidency.
Any media that spins how he does .. well, that media ought to go ahead and shut down the shop.
Guy doesn't stand a chance.

Actually, he ignored it because it told him things he didn't want to hear, like what a ****-up he is, and he's never listened to people who tell him that, not even his old man.
Joke's not on the committee, Guy.

I thought he ignored the ISG report because his daddy had wanted him to pay attention to James Baker for a long time. He decided to show daddy who the real decider is!

Not really in the mood for this, but can you name one thing that the ISG suggested that wasn't either stupid or obvious?
