There is no truth to the rumor that James Caan stormed off the set of "Rollerball" after being told he and his Houston teammates would be wearing that uniform.

it's an improvement over the bright neon yellow stuff from last year.

but urine is not a color scheme anyone should have to wear

Classy helmets, lame jerseys. And I love forest green. Much easier on the eyes than the yellow ones Oregon has thrown at us.

I'm guessing on the Ducks really do wear those helmets, they would become the first football team to ever sport three helmets in the same season, which would be just like them -- so over the top.

OK, as an alum, I've made a lot of excuses for Duck uniform excesses of the past. I like the old lightning yellow/Hi-liter uniforms.

These are ****ing atrocious.

If the Village People had a football team, those unis would be perfect.

What the hell is the deal with the metal printing on the knees/shoulders?

They need to tell Phil Knight NOOOOOOO!

Still beats anything Tennessee wears. Or, for that matter, the home jerseys for Texas, which look liked 12-million-year-old sunburned yak dung.

Oh, but then they would bite the hand that feeds them. They're going to let Nike run wild with the jerseys, and they're going to be happy with the paychecks they cash.

That's diamond treadplate. Very big on trains, trucks...and upscale kitchen renovations.

Aside from the color scheme, I don't understand this trend of making numbers completely indecipherable. The whole point of putting numbers on jerseys is that you can read them and tell one player from the next. A 4 looks like a 9, 8 like a 0, what the **** ?

Not that there's anything wrong with that ...

Nice to incorportate their arch-rival's colors in your own uniform (the black in the uniform on the far left). Can hardly wait for Michigan to unveil its scarlet highlights, or for Texas A & M to wear burnt orange.

I was going to say, that looks like tire tread on those uniforms. And as for the Pirates uniforms of the late 70s, those were interchangeable - about six different uniforms from yellow to white to pinstriped to black and so forth.

like the unis except for the metal shavings across the shoulders.
