I have a question regarding NFL merchandise and instead of making a new thread, I'll just ask here.

Going to pull the trigger on a new jersey today - haven't bought one in years and am weary on what size I should go with. I wear large T-shirts and polos, but I know with jerseys I do like them a bit bigger. 52 should be right around that? I've also read if you go authentic or with the premier ones.

A size 52 will be bigger, but that might be too big, even if you want a little more room.

I wear XL T-shirts and polos and I have ordered size 52s (some people might vouch for the fit of one jersey, anyway). Granted, I didn't want to look like a peg trying to hold up a jersey four sizes too big. You might find a size 50 to be plenty ... but in all fairness, I don't think you would be too far lost in a size 52.

Authentic vs. premier? Vote here would be authentic in a runaway.
Advantages:
-More items would be stitched onto the garment as opposed to screened.
-Any jersey which has two or more colors in the digits and/or nameplate will be sewn separately onto the jersey. Most premiers have just one layer with some fake-looking crap filling in in the attempt to save money. In addition, authentics use tackle twill for the numbers and nameplate letters, and it has a better flexibility and feel than whatever is used with premiers.
-Better-quality mesh for the body of the jersey, a heavier-duty yolk where mesh isn't used and the sleeves have a much nicer synthetic binding that are not found with premiers/replicas.
-I would also bet it will last a lot longer, be sturdier in both wear and washing and is usually made of more heavy-duty materials.

Disadvantages:
-Cost. Authentics are 2-3 times the money that premiers are.

If your player allegiances change faster than rush-hour traffic, a replica or premier (or two) might not be a bad way to go. If you know who your favorites are and suspect this jersey will last a while, spend the little bit of extra money and go authentic.

People here mocked me when I started a thread for the place, but go to www.reebokdepot.com and you can get the stitched jerseys for about $20. We bought a ton of NFL jerseys that we'll be giving out for birthdays and Xmas and you cannot tell the difference between these and what you buy from the team. They're the exact same jerseys, just no middleman.

If I had the money and knew of a player on the Bills that was going to be a staple for a long time, authentic all the way.

I think I have some premier jerseys online for Fitzpatrick (Support your local QB!) but all I find is 52 or 54 - prices for these are low (50-60) so I'm assuming they're premier ones. Just read they have stitching, but not all of the small things that make the authentic a must have.

They're shipping from China. I had everything within eight days and that was after paying through paypal. I had issues with one jersey (a duplicate) and my money was refunded within a day and they let me keep the jersey. My only advice on the NFL jerseys is to order one size bigger than you normally would.

It's unbelievable stuff.

The only ones I can personally vouch for are the NFL jerseys. I know people who have had issues (although pretty small ones...) with the MLB jerseys.

The NFL ones are top notch.

Funny thread. I to at times have been smitten by a certain piece of NFL clothing and it becomes like a treasure hunt.

Sometimes when it arrives I am bitterly disappointed.

My all time favorite piece of NFL clothing is the Steeler white cotton T with the Steeler spell out across chest. There was a time it was not available, not they are readily available.

Never did find The Steeler retro faded hoody of 2 years ago.

I'm really a Jet fan but their green is to fan boyish.

I wore that thing into the ground, playing pickup football games, doing yard work, working on the car, out at the bars, etc. I've worn it for pretty much every weekend between October and April for the last 4 years, and it's finally showing its age.

Of course, now it's no longer available. It was something like $85 four years ago, and worth every last penny.

So, after shipping, insurance, and a credit card/paypal fee, the jerseys come to $42. I guess that's not too bad. Too bad they're going to take a week or more to get here. Did my physical address.

Welp, we'll see if this works. Ordered a size 52 white Buffalo Fitz. I like the road uniforms this year.

Look around for the Reebok pro model caps. They're well-made, nicely shaped and they've done a lot of classics -- the Bud Grant Vikings cap, the classic George Allen burgundy Redskins cap.

(Primitive times when NFL coaches jackets only had one zipper).

The fonts were way, way off if your team doesn't use standard block letters and numerals. To boot, the Carolina Panthers' blue was what is used in Chapel Hill, which is powder blue. The Panthers' blue is an electric blue, a little more intense on the eyes.

I'm not expecting much. If it's close to being legit I'll keep it. If not, back it goes. Luckily (and hopefully), the Bills have pretty standard fonts and colors. When it gets here I'll give a review.

We bought Niners, Packers, Chargers, Broncos, Bears, Eagles and Patriots jerseys to give as gifts from them and all are top notch. You cannot tell the difference between these jerseys and the ones you buy at the stadium for $200 because they are the same jersey.

Got my tracking number and Chen says it's for USPS which cannot be right. First off: USPS in my area does not ship to physical addresses (All PO) and could have sworn during the checkout process there was no option to choose your shipping. Maybe he meant UPS?

So great. This going to be shipped and then returned and then back again.
