I'm fairly sure the numbnuts who bitched about Boton-area teams being SI's cover for four weeks running can breathe easy this week.

I'm fairly sure MLS will never find its way to a SI cover, unless someone commits ATM on the field of play.

no, not even then, byh.

Dunno, award-winning stories have been built on less.

Re: New England's domiance comes to an end

Yeah, THAT was going on the cover of SI

Re: New England's domiance comes to an end

If SI can put kickball on the cover can it please jinx the sport for the rest of eternity?

Does Beckham not count?

Celtics getting whipped, maybe Buffalo can give us the FU Boston trifecta and knock off the Pats tonite.

No ****.

I hate it when people respond like this to sarcasm. Bad form.

I wasn't even trying to be sarcastic. I was raised, live, and attend college in the middle of New England and do not know a single Revolution fan.

Re: New England's domiance comes to an end

"respond to sarcasm ..."

Re: New England's domiance comes to an end

Yep, no one cared about the MLS Cup. They only played it in front of a nearly sold out RFK Stadium between two teams that are nowhere near Washington DC.

The MLS is a solid league and is on the way up. Now, if only the Seattle franchise was starting in 2008 instead of 2009, that would be awesome.
