I think I've mentioned this here some time before on another thread, but my friend's wife teaches in the public schools here. The name of one girl in her class is pronounced Shuh THEED.

Unfortunately for the poor kid the name is spelled ****head. True story. How can parents be so ****ing clueless?

Mavric (that's the way it's spelled) Parks is a goalie for the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League. Very cool name.

Don't forget about OHLer Ziga Pance.

Kid I covered in summer league ball: Sequoyah Trueblood Stonecypher.

Didn't believe it then and I don't believe it now ...

Does your mom work at the hospital where a set of twins named Lemongello and Orangello were born? Or where a mother named her kid after the first words she saw when he was born "Nosmo King?"

Sorry, Steak, but my mom's retired from nursing but she didn't work in a hospital. She worked in a nursing home. Not too many births in a nursing home. After quitting nursing she worked in the school system, but it wasn't at her school but my friend's wife's school that the girl named ****head attended. I didn't believe it at first, either.

Shasta Kielbasa played high school tennis in these parts.
I worked with **** Hyman

I too call urban legend on ****heed.

I've heard the name, too. Also from a teacher. My thoughts were similar to yours, OT: Poor kid.

Every time this thread pops up, I'm reminded of Carlin's Guys named Todd:

Know a guy who worked in a town in which Anita Hummer was running for city council. Had signs around town saying "Move Forward with Anita Hummer" and everything.

We had a girls named Star and Twila play basketball at the local high school back in the day.

Lots of Western geographic names these days: Dakota, Dacotah, Cheyenne, Sheyenne, Sierra, Dallas, Austin, Madison, Jackson, Denver, etc.

My son, who has a "normal" Ango-Saxon name, came home from day camp one day and said he wanted to change his name to Jamaal Scott Jr.

I've always thought Jake was the best name ever for a guy. That just sounds manly. No way you're a ***** if your name is Jake.
