It's like Deadwood of the Rockies instead of the Black Hills, scary stuff going on in Bozeman:

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) -- Two former Montana State University athletes were arrested and charged with murder Thursday in the shooting death of a suspected cocaine dealer whose body was found last week at the school's agronomy farm.

Former basketball player Branden Miller and former football player John LeBrum, both 22, were arrested and charged in the death of Jason Cody Wright. Both men also are accused of kidnapping Wright and destroying evidence in his murder.

Miller was held on $1 million bail after appearing in court on a murder charge. LeBrum is expected to appear in court Friday, also on a murder charge.

...

The slaying is third high-profile case to rock the Big Sky Conference school's athletic department in the last three years.

In September 2005, former Montana State basketball player Frank Brown was sentenced to 90 days in jail for rape. He also was given a six-year deferred sentence and ordered to undergo treatment and register as a sexual offender.

Brown pleaded guilty to twice raping a 15-year-old girl, at least once when she was passed out after drinking with him.

In October 2004, former assistant head football coach Joe O'Brien was sentenced to four years in prison for his role in a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy.

O'Brien pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, distribution of meth near a school and 24 counts of money laundering. He also was sentenced to eight years of supervised release and 500 hours of community service

Reserving comment on the two alleged murders, but Bozeman is a hella fun town.

She's probably glad she lives in Grizville and not near them depraved Bobcats.

Does sportschick know about all this?

It was on our front page today. The ex-basketball/football players we cover do not kill people. They just drink and drive or get beaten up for taking somebody else's girlfriend home.

Apparently MSU is the new Baylor. My dad, an MSU alum, will be so proud.

Ouch! As a Texas resident, let me repeat. Ouch.

Still, who knew that part of Montana was home to such a sordid little burg?

It's amazing what drugs'll do to a town. Might I mention that MSU had an assistant coach convicted of dealing meth. Town has some issues.

Oops! Yep, that guy. The story left out the basketball (I think) player who was busted for having sex with a 15-year-old last year. Town's nuts.

Where I live is soooooooo much superior. ;D

Well damn. I'm an idiot today :D

My town is still superior, dammit!

I'm waiting for the NCAA violations to come to light now, just so MSU can truly be the next Baylor. (And Alley, my sister was in law school at Baylor during the huge mess.)

No. Superior is a town a little to the west of your town. Get it straight, girl!

I don't know if you meant that as a Clerks reference, but whether you did or not I got a good laugh out of it.
