I wonder if the No Idiots Allowed champion will have the guts to apply. :)

Re: Hotstove Fantasy Baseball

Perhaps we should change the title of this thread to SportsJournalists.com Money League results. I couldn't tell what it was from the title and I'm in the league. I only read it because I read anything baseball.

Re: Hotstove Fantasy Baseball

Ok, this is dying fast, so I must say it before it does.

All must bow before the glory that is the New Jersey Chubbs!

That's Mr. Two-time defending No Idiots Allowed champion to you.

Well, those leagues were missing something very important -- me.

How is that whining?

I called you out. You responded by bragging about your accomplishments. And I pointed out that you didn't have to beat me to get those two victories.

No whining. Just more calling out.

Call out and/or whine about your NIABL omission all you want. Enjoy.

I never asked to be in the NIABL. As far as I know, you haven't even had an opening since I joined SportsJournalists.com. I'm in three established leagues already and an offer for a fourth, so I wouldn't be pursuing a spot if there was one.

I did participate in the thread looking for somebody new in the football league, but if you look at those responses I think even you could figure out that I was joking around.

I just thought the winner of the NIABL might be a good addition to SportsJournalists.com Money League. The whole point of mandatory open spots is to bring in people who win championships and I thought a little good-natured trash talk might get you interested. Guess you'd rather just talk **** and stay where it's nice and safe and you can be the big fish in the pond.

Enjoy indeed.

And there, I'm at my limit anyway.

OK, I'll keep going with Mr. Moron here.

Until you started this thread, I'd never heard of your alleged league. You won a league? Good for you, skippy. Enjoy that $300 you supposedly made. Buy yourself a few lap dances and a personality.

I modified my post, which might have clarified things a bit, but I'll follow here.

I'm not the one who turned this into a pissing contest. I engaged in a lilttle good-natured trash talk with somebody with some fantasy baseball cred (2 titles in another league) hoping to find a good candidate to make the league I'm in better.

And if you need lap dances to improve your personality, that's your problem, not mine.

BD,
Chubbs did not start the thread. You are the moron and you make your league look self-felating and clubby. You go champ. But I predict you would not make the cut for '08 after playing in a real league in '07, Skippy....or maybe it's just Guppie.

Aww, I have been called Mr. Moron and a Troll. How ever will I go on?

Trolls are the ones who bring venom into discussions and resort to name calling. That would be you, BD.

Thanks Lawrence. Though I admit I did use the thread to throw a little bait out there. I thought at least I could have a little good-natured fun with another league champion, but apparently his skin is far too thin for that.

I was away this weekend at the Tenn/Ga game. I did check with National Sports Preservation (our sponsor) before leaving on Friday. They are saying the checks were processed and should be mailed from North Carolina on Monday. So that may give you and the others an idea of when to look for them.

Congrats on the regular season title and the championship win.

And Chubbs, call me Larry. Lawrence is so formal.

You bring nothing to this board.

Your preening and bragging about beating a collection of special ed students in your roto league is below pathetic, though.

Our league is self-felating? I didn't know that.

Not sure I would have joined had I known, becuase I'm more of a full service guy, not self service.

Freelance, I think that was more directed at Big Dog, who has earned it with his responses on this thread, though I can definitely see that comment being taken as a shot at the whole league.

Larry, thanks for the support.

Columbo, let's keep the comments directed at Big Dog. The only real problem I see with the NIABL is the commissioner/champ and his attitude.
