He caused a scene in a theater, then threatened cops, spit on them and used a slur.

He called them Redskins?

Man. That one was hit a long way. :)
As for Mr. LaBeouf, I'm getting REAL tired of his ****. Why can't these types of people just go to Nebraska and never be heard from again?

Never understood what directors saw in him. I don't know if he ever did either.

Peaked with "Even Stevens," when he seemed like a typical goofy kid.

LaBeouf always struck me as one of those guys who was widely disliked by everyone except the people's whose opinions mattered the most, Spielberg, Michael Bay, etc...

He's falling into the long tradition of messed-up child actors.

I don't think that's his issue. He had an insane level of success as a young adult and all he had to do to sustain that success was to not do something incredibly stupid, things like biting the hands of the directors/producers who were putting him in huge franchise movies.

Have read about his parents?
He had an, um, unconventional childhood. Not Lindsay Lohan stuff, but weird. A little more than eccentric hippy ****.
I don't think mental illness is out of the question.

Yeah, it sounds like he's led a strange life, and I would not be surprised if he's mentally ill. But like you said, this isn't a Lindsay Lohan deal. He's made a truckload of money.

I would not be surprised at all if he's not around in 3-5 years.

I give him a pass if he went crazy watching the last 45 minutes of Transformers: Age Of Extinction. I know I did. There's a decent two-hour movie in there, but no way in hell at 2:45.

He was hilarious in the show.
Now... He's Nucking Futs.

Plain and simple.

For a Disney sitcom, that show was surprisingly watchable.

Wow. I had no idea it was that long. The entire appeal is giant robots blowing crap up, which just screams to come in under two hours. What the hell was Bay thinking?

I thought perhaps they'd do a better job without wasting so much time on LaBeouf's character this time.

Yeah, I have no idea why anyone would make an action movie, geared at a younger audience and make it that long.

Transformers I was almost 2 1/2 hours and the second and third were over 2 1/2.

He eventually wore thin on Spielberg when he railed against how ****ty the last Indiana Jones movie turned out while doing press for the opening. I read an interview with Harrison Ford, and to paraphrase, the kid didn't know when it was time to speak candidly and when it was time to sell the product. I ain't complaining. If pissing off Spielberg cost us an inferior spin off of Indy, LaDouche did the cinematic world a big favor.

So, who belongs on the list of people who have done their best to fire-bomb their career?

1) LaBeouf.

2) Bieber.

3) Katherine Heigl.

Who else?
