Is it just me, or does this look like it might be a pretty good movie? Just from the commercials, Cruise seems pretty funny in it, and it looks like there's decent action...

It's just you. Idiotic title and the film's likely to be a noisy, stupid mess.

Probably the most interesting thing about it will be what it says about Cruise's career. If people don't turn out like they used to for his popcorn movies, it's going to be ominous.

Cruz had a segment on Sesame Street this year, and I never really thought this until I saw here there - she is just so freeking hot in a girl next door type of way. But she has to have six inches on this twit.

I'm looking forward to it. Then again, I'm a shameless Tom Cruise fan. Have enjoyed pretty much all of his movies. NY Mag had an entertaining analysis of the trailer, comparing crazy Tom Cruise to the crazy character portrayed in the movie.

I can still count on one hand how many times Diaz has been good in a non-animated movie.

Most overrated actress working, IMO.

They're not being featured by name in the TV ads. Maybe Cruise and Diaz don't want to be too tied to the film

I liked her in "The Holiday." But, yeah, can't think of another flick in which she excelled.

There's Something About Mary?

I'll give Diaz, The Mask, There's Something About Mary and Being John Malkovich. She was also pretty good in small parts in Very Bad Things and the Last Supper.

I don't think that's true at all. The main reason Cruise and Diaz were featured so prominently at the MTV awards was to promote the film.

I feel like they've already given away what could be an important twist of the movie in the trailer. At the beginning, Diaz is some bumbling love interest who doesn't know what's going on, then later, she flips around on Cruise while both are riding a motorcycle, firing duel handguns and blowing out tires of cars following them like it's nothing.

Or maybe it's just me.

I liked Cruise before I knew his feelings on depression.

He can get ****ed.

The more Cruise talks about stuff like that, the more people hate him. I think he's been on a personal PR tour since then, taking parts like the Grossman part in Tropic Thunder and I don't think he's said much on Scientology/Depression since he went off like five years ago.

I remember during that tour, which I think was for MI:3, thinking, "OK, this asshole can go away forever now..."

I think he's somewhat redeemed himself since, but we'll see how this movie does.

Keeping quiet about his opinions doesn't change his opinions. That's not redemption.
I've never been a fan, nor do I care what his opinions are. I'm just saying.
