Announced today he's not running. Big deal. In other news, Joe the Plumber from Sheboygen announced he's not running for president either. Too bad. Joe had a better chance of winning than Kerry.

To illustrate the absudity of John Kerry bothering to make an announcement that he's not running in a race he couldn't possibly win.

In other news, espn's Chris Mortensen reports that I will not be seeking the Dallas Cowboys head coaching job.

In other news, hondo has not asked any women out this evening.

More word on this story as it develops.

Hey, buddy, it's Sheboygan, not Sheboygen. My native state takes your error as an insult.

Now that Kerry is officially out, it's one step closer to me clinching the nomination. Now all I have to do is have a well-timed release of that tape starring Hillary and Mary Matlin. The movie is called, appropriately enough, Anonymous Lovers.

Wonder how much his "joke" factored into the decision?

If there were any doubts before, that probably confirmed it.

Kerry would be president today if he had married a nice librarian or schoolteacher.

That's called the Pat Hill maneuver.

Don't need to ask women out since I'm married with a kid.

Sorry for the mispelling. But your native state also had a guy arrested last year for performing sex acts on a dead moose, so the threshold for insults ought to be a lot higher then simply spelling Sheboygan wrong.

At least our state arrests people who do that. You are still on the loose, so we know how seriously your state treats that crime....

I get that no one likes hondo, but Democrats should be jumping up and down with this (non)news. ... If the guy had been 2% likable in '04, it may have been different.

And I think the Dems will learn from their mistakes this time around, as evidenced by the personalities in the running so far.

I think he would have made a good president. I think he would have made a lousy candidate this time around.
Pure pragmatism.
Good deal.

He was a lousy candidate in 2004 (the Democrats' second straight poor choice) against a vulnerable shadow president. Kerry ceased his role as a spokesman for the party a long time ago, and this announcement, belatedly, indicates that he recognizes that.

He's married two filthy-rich women. It's no coincidence. He had his chance. See ya.

Amen, F_B.

Thanks for doing the right thing Senator Kerry.
