Further evidence that originality is dead ...

Dimension Films has acquired rights to remake the 1986 film "Short Circuit" says Variety.

The original introduced Number 5, a robot built by the military to be a highly sophisticated weapon. It developed a conscience and a personality after being hit by lightning, and then needed the help of humans after it was targeted for destruction by its makers, once it became a peacenik.

Original scribes S.S. Wilson and Brent Maddock have been hired to write the remake.

I'm waiting for the remake of "No Country For Old Men" due out this Christmas.

Fingers crossed that it's a musical!

Found this:

"Rhythm of the Night" will be the theme song of Lowes Motor Speedway during the 2008 NASCAR season.

I sure when many think El De Barge, they think NASCAR. I know I do.

Poo on you, Fenian! That song is awesome.

It's now in my head. Thanks, Dirk!

Your musical taste is just a bright shiny kaleidoscope of abject, albeit fascinating, Fail.

Just sayin'.

and for some reason I was able to pull it without any pause for thought. Knew the song title, knew who sang the song. I was amazed at myself. I mean, I'm no BYH, but still.

Bad 1980's singles and NASCAR.
Keep up, dammit.

Your statement does not compute.

You say 'bad 80s music' but all I've seen is "Who's Johnny?" which is AWESOME 80s music.
