Dennis Haskins was at the basketball game I covered and I chatted with him for a few minutes outside the media room afterward.

When I told him I watched him on TV the other day he put on a forced grin, because he thought I meant Saved by the Bell. But when I told him I saw the episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia he was in, he beamed. He said he loved that show and loved the chance to play a PE teacher who was accused of molesting his students.

Nice guy. Enormous head.

I met Martin Mull once. He was the same way, about "Clue." I asked him about Red Roof Inn instead. You ever seen an ego deflate before your eyes? I have. 8)

Funny, cause I went to this All-Star party in California, and met Dante Culpepper and Jerry Porter and then asked how they knew the host. They told me it was a paid promotion, but when I asked the host, he got really sheepish. I asked a group of gorgeous women the same thing, and they said it was a paid appearance. But when I asked the host, who said he knew them, he got pretty shy.

Mario Lopez is a fabulous person. But Dennis Haskins is definitely on my list of people to meet.

I have a feeling that the person that hosted this party spells his name with three simple letters and a lot of douche.

A buddy and I sat at the bar next to him one night, and he had everybody rolling on the floor when he said things like "Let's put it this way ... none of us were surprised when we saw Elizabeth did Showgirls" and "I'm telling you ... if you can't get laid in Vegas ... you just can't get laid."

Classic stuff.

Looks like I should test that Vegas theory. If nothing else, I could at least stop hoping for that day to come around again.

met dustin diamond, briefly. sorta. saw his standup routine. then he was trying to sell **** at the door. didn't buy anything. was funny as you can expect screech to be. did a lot of zack likes the **** jokes

Know who's good buds with Dennis Haskins? St. Louis Rams assistant head coach Rick Venturi. Can't remember how they got to know each other, but it was strange seeing a picture of Belding up on the wall when you went in his office in New Orleans.

He's from Chattanooga and is friends with former UTC coach Mack McCarthy as well. Would travel now and then to see Mack's teams play. Not sure if he's making many treks to see East Carolina.

I met Dennis Haskins my senior year of college when he came into town to do a show. Had him sign my ticket stub afterwards, and he signed it "Dennis Haskins, Mr. B", which I thought was pretty cool. Seemed like he embraced the SBTB experience pretty well.

I was just at Best Buy and saw the made-for-TV-movies on one disc for $14.99, and I almost picked it up. I need that and Season 5 to complete the set.
