fill in the blank. Ha!

Seriously, interesting article in this week's Newsweek. A couple of fellers got rare in-depth access for interviews at the same time the Israel-Hezbollah **** broke out, so the story was a combination of the G8 in Russia and the Mideast "****" (yes, Newsweek used Bush's quote verbatim). It's enjoyable more for the behind-the-scenes stuff at the G8; the mistrust that still exists between the U.S. and Russia; the way Bush has to hide in his limo for the only true sanctuary against microphones in weather balloons or other listening devices; the way he interacts with Putin at quirky times.

There's also a very funny bit about Koizumi and the word "bear," which is one of the oddest things I've seen. Koizumi seems like an outrageous, fun dude. And his Eddie Vedder hair! How many world leaders act like rock stars that way? That's awesome.

Anyhoo, it's an interesting package. Some photos are OK, others not so hot.

the biggest f***ing hero in the world. ;)

Sorry, my favorite pic to post can't be found, so I had to say it.

And Doc's right. This won't end well.

I read it online. (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13988981/site/newsweek/). Pretty interesting story. I also enjoyed the parts about how the Secret Service tries to protect the president's communications in Russia.

Yeah, they have his outside-bugging-proof limo flown in. That's funny.

ooh this is fun! here's my fill in the blank, in no particular order

delusional
way more arrogant than a president should be. normal people don't start wars to fee their ego and normal  human beings in positions of power can admit mistakes
not very smart (not saying he's stupid but he's not a very smart guy)
lucky to be a two-term president considering he only got elected once
a criminal
a liar
a despicable human being
one of the five worst presidents in history
going to hell
lazy
in good physical shape since unlike all other presidents, he puts in about 8-9 hours a day then heads home

...our president.

Don't care if you flame the newbie...

Anyone heard the adage that if you can't respect the person, respect the position?

Flame on.

Did you bash Bill Clinton when he was in office?

George W. Bush is our president...

I'm a republican and I voted for the guy twice... Is he a very good president? No... He's not the best, he's not the worst... Is he closer to one than the other? We'll let history decide that...

Bush is what happens when the democrats nominate two vastly unlikable candidates who the majority of the country can't stomach the idea of watching them for the next four years... Is that the right way to pick a president? No, it's not... But it's reality...

McCain in 2008!

Well, if the thread said, President Bush is ... your point would have merit. If George W. Bush himself deserves any respect, he sure is good at hiding why.
