Ford v Ferrari

Nice. Now the TWO movies I most want to see this year are based on late sixties true stories.

I just saw this today and it looks awesome. I love Carrol Shelby's designs. Looking forward to this.

I have the book the movie is based on, "Go Like Hell" and I must say that's a better title than "Ford v. Ferrari." Needless to say I will be there on the first ****ing day it opens.

Nice to see Matt Damon in a good movie again.

Bale just owns the screen in everything he does.

Looks great. Unfortunately, I live in an area where movies like this never come, so I'll have to wait until it pops up on TV.

The trailer looks good, but seriously, that's one of the worst titles to come around in a long, long time. How do you not use Go Like Hell?

I have to assume the Ford Motor Co. is heavily involved in financing this picture.

You don't have a theater at all?

This looks like a major Thanksgiving release.

A Rolling Stones song in a trailer? It doesn't get more hackneyed than that.

The worst thing about Scorsese is his overuse of songs in his movies.

Yeah, we have an eight-screen AMC, but if it's not Avengers, Godzilla, John Wick, etc... they aren't booking it.

Ford v Ferrari is truly only going to appeal to a limited audience, and the theater isn't interested in taking up space for a dozen people per show. It's sort of like the Tolkien movie that came out earlier.

But Damon gives it the star appeal it needs for a big release, Bale's genius notwithstanding. Another triumphant SNL appearance around release day wouldn't hurt.

Long ago, a movie based on a story of mine was slated to star Bale and Damon. Then it fell apart. I will confess that I've watched this trailer a few times now, and it stings a little each time. It's like squirting lemon juice into an old cut. But I wonder, vainly, whether they've been trying to work together since way back then.

It’s a $100 million movie with Disney distribution. It will be in every theater complex in America for at least 3 weeks.

Because the Go Like Hell version starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt and directed by Michael Mann fell apart a few years back. This one is NOT based on the book.
